What about web hosting?

Every website is located, or hosted, on a web server. A website’s owner typically pays a small monthly or yearly fee to use the web server. There are many different types of web hosting, depending on how much web server space, software, hardware, security and traffic a website requires. For example, the owner of a brochure website may pay $20 per month for quality web hosting that is suitable for their website type, whereas the owner of an ecommerce website may pay much more for the secure, high-quality hosting required for their website type. We will advise you on the web hosting that will best suit your project, focusing on quality hosting available in New Zealand today.

How long does it take to complete a website project?

On an average, we take 3 to 8 weeks to complete a website. However, the time frame depends on the type, size and complexity of your website. You, too, are an important part of the time frame equation, because we need your content (text, images) and feedback as we progress. We are committed to providing a qualitative rather than a quantitative result.

Can I update my own site?

If you opt for a content-managed website or an e-commerce website, you can easily update and maintain your own site. Please keep in mind, though, that such websites require more technical expertise and development, and therefore cost more – but the ease of maintenance makes this worthwhile. On the other hand, if you prefer a brochure-style website, you may require our support to update the website, or choose to train with us so you can maintain it yourself. Rest assured, we will discuss all options at the start of your project so that your website meets your requirements exactly.

Do you do logos and business cards?

Although we focus on web design, we can design many forms of corporate identity – logos, business cards, flyers, catalogues, posters, etc. We value your input highly, as it is the foundation on which we create a design that is uniquely you. This runs as a unified theme through your website and all your printed marketing material, maximising your brand identity.

Do you do web design training?

Web design training is a major part of what we do. We offer web design courses including Dreamweaver and HTML training, CSS web design workshops and search engine optimisation training. We can train you on Mac or Windows, at your premises or ours, and are also happy to offer one-on-one training at no extra cost.

In addition, many of our clients have requested training as a part of their website project.
